THE ACADEMY
Orthodox Christian doctrine and theology are the foundation of the Academy’s educational vision.
Slavic Greek Latin Academy is developing an Orthodox Christian academic community in Sacramento, California. Our proposed religious education is grounded in Holy Scripture, Holy Tradition, and the theological writings of the Church Fathers, with attention to the doctrine, worship, and spiritual life of the Orthodox Church.
The Slavic, Greek, and Latin Christian literary traditions provide a setting for studying biblical and patristic texts from an Orthodox theological perspective. Our proposed programs connect this scholarly heritage with Orthodox religious teaching, spiritual formation, and service in the life of the Church.
